About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Legal Counsel to join us on a 3-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.
In this role, you will work closely with our Commercial, Product, Compliance, Regulatory, Finance, and Operations teams to structure, review, and negotiate complex and bespoke commercial and partnership agreements. You will play a key role in supporting transactions across the payments, fintech, and Web3 ecosystem, balancing commercial objectives with legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations.
This role is well suited for an experienced commercial lawyer who can operate independently, manage transactions end-to-end, and provide practical legal advice in a fast-moving environment.
What You Will Do
- Lead the drafting, structuring, reviewing, negotiation, and execution of complex commercial and partnership agreements, particularly within the payments, fintech, and Web3 ecosystem.
- Handle agreements with a range of counterparties, including banks, payment service providers, exchanges, wallets, custodians, fintech companies, and other digital asset/Web3 partners.
- Take end-to-end ownership of commercial transactions and contract negotiations with minimal supervision.
- Partner closely with Commercial, Product, Compliance, Regulatory, Finance, and Operations teams to understand business requirements, identify potential risks, and ensure relevant legal and compliance considerations are appropriately reflected in agreements.
- Provide timely and practical advice to internal stakeholders regarding contractual obligations, commitments, and commercial legal matters.
- Advise management and business stakeholders on complex client and partnership matters, including potential contractual, regulatory, compliance, financial, and legal risks.
- Communicate complex legal considerations clearly and concisely, adapting your approach to different stakeholders and audiences.
