ABOUT ACTAI

There are over 5 billion users using basic applications today such email, notes, tasks, calendar and they're not AI-native. Our mission is to build proactive applications for anyone in the world, who are not used to complex prompting. We aim to bring intelligence to conversations, errands, organising and workflows, with minimal to no prompting.

Our first application is an agent-first mobile communication app. We believe building applications that users use daily for communication, coordination and collaboration needs will help integrate AI into their lives. The net effect is to eliminate misinformation, achieve low coordination costs, enable high quality tasks and collaboration at scale with minimal or little prompting.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Head of Design will own product design quality across the group's consumer products and brands. This is a hands-on design leadership role with direct involvement in our most important products and user experiences.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Set the design direction and quality bar across group products.

• Work directly on or review critical user journeys, product concepts and interfaces.

• Turn complex financial and AI workflows into simple consumer experiences.

• Set standards across product design, interaction, visual design and design systems.

• Review shipped products and identify specific usability and design problems.

• Work with product and engineering from early concepts through production.

• Recruit and assess senior product, UI and brand designers.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Strong portfolio of shipped consumer technology products with meaningful usage.

• Deep product and interaction design capability, not primarily people management.

• Strong visual judgement and attention to interface details.
