Role: Senior Strategist
Location: Mumbai, India
About the role:
We are a collaborative, fast-moving team that values curiosity and craftsmanship. We push to remain experts across digital, content and analytics, share learnings openly, and deliver work that raises the bar. You will partner closely with hub partners, external agencies and specialists across Search, Social, Media, CRM, E‑commerce, Content and Data to build unified, measurable work.
We are looking for a skilled and results-driven Senior Strategist to coordinate across digital touchpoints and lead a GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) programme for a major personal skincare & beauty client. You will own how the brand is described and discovered inside AI-powered search and LLM-driven experiences (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI/Assistant, AI Overviews, voice assistants), and convert those insights into content, technical and experimentation changes that drive measurable business outcomes.
You will analyse AI-driven brand perception, benchmark visibility versus competitors, and close gaps by shaping content, structured data, and knowledge assets used in retrieval-augmented generation. The role requires strong strategic judgement, hands-on content and schema work, experimentation rigor, and the ability to move fast with cross-functional teams.
You are right for the role if:
You have built commercially-driven digital and content strategies that are also creatively inspiring.
You understand emerging culture and know how to engage diverse audiences across platforms including AI/LLM channels.
You can draw actionable insight from data (social listening, analytics, model audits) and convert hypotheses into experiments and measurable outcomes.
You work well with multiple stakeholders, excel at managing clients, and collaborate effectively with creative and technical teams.
You are social-media savvy, curious about generative AI, and have experience applying SEO/structured-data best practices.
You have domain experience in beauty / BPC (Beauty and Personal Care) product strategies and the category dynamics that drive purchase.
What you will be doing:
AI Search Visibility (AEO/GEO) Lead:
Objective: Lead a structured experimentation program to improve brand visibility across AI-powered search and Large Language Model (LLM) platforms.
Develop and execute a 90-day AEO/GEO experimentation roadmap.
Identify priority consumer search intents, questions, and product-related prompts.
Partner with agencies and internal stakeholders to optimize brand presence across AI search environments.
Track brands visibility across LLMs and featured-answer search experiences.
Generate insights and recommendations on the impact of AEO/GEO initiatives.
Build frameworks and playbooks for scaling successful interventions across brands and campaigns.
Success Metrics
Improvement in brands' Visibility Score across prioritised prompts.
Delivery of actionable learnings and scale recommendations at conclusion of pilot.
Community Building & UGC Growth:
Objective: Build engaged and culturally relevant communities that drive retention, advocacy, and user-generated content.
Define priority brand communities in partnership with media teams.
Develop community strategies, engagement plans, and growth roadmaps.
Create influencer and creator playbooks tailored to each community, including content formats, conversation hooks, and engagement triggers.
Design programs that encourage consumer participation and UGC creation.
Leverage the brand assets and cultural properties (including music and creator partnerships) to increase social participation.
Monitor community health, sentiment, engagement, and UGC trends.
Regularly review performance and community feedback to optimize briefs, content strategies, and media investments.
What you need to be great in this role:
4 years’ experience in digital strategy, SEO or content (agency or client-side).
Experience reviewing AI/LLM outputs and turning findings into content or technical fixes.
Familiarity with Product, FAQ, HowTo, Review and answer-first content patterns.
Practical understanding of RAG/embeddings and vector stores (or willingness to get hands-on quickly).
Comfortable with web analytics and basic SQL; able to build or read dashboards.
Experience with A/B testing and basic experiment design/statistics.
Strong communicator who can influence product, engineering, legal and creative teams.
Experience with consumer brands (beauty/BPC preferred but not required).
Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
